How to Play Live Blackjack Online
Internet casinos are always looking for new gimmicks and tactics to attract customers. The most recent trend in online gaming is live dealer casino titles. Live dealer games are just what they sound like: online casino games run by a real life dealer who you can see and hear via webcam, rather than computer simulations of dealers.
Live dealer games are only available for a limited number of casino titles as of this writing, generally table games like roulette, craps, keno, and (of course) my personal favorite, blackjack.
If you are interested in live dealer blackjack but aren't sure how it works, check out this blog post about my experience with playing live blackjack games online.
Why Live Blackjack is More Fun than Standard Blackjack
For me, playing with a live dealer beats playing against a computer simulation hands-down. Anything that makes an online casino more like a land-based casino adds to the atmosphere and makes me more into the game. I also like the camaraderie of a live dealer, and at some sites, you can even communicate back and forth with your dealer, and tip your live dealer if they do a good job.
Live dealer games are also a little easier for people who are used to traditional casino play. Some people just don't trust random number generators and computer programs, so having a live dealer makes the game more enjoyable by showing you the shuffling of the cards and the laying out of bets and winnings.
How to Play Live Dealer Games
It is very easy to transition from standard Internet casino blackjack play to live dealer versions. The only difference is that you can see your dealer, see the cards as they're shuffled and dealt, and watch the outcome right in front of your face. Certain live dealer games even allow multiplayer options, so you feel like you're really at the casino, playing alongside other Internet casino gamers.
If you know how to play an Internet casino game, you already know how to play a live dealer game. Each site's live dealer interface is a little different, so take some time to learn the ins and outs of the game, placing small wagers at first to make sure you know how to use the live dealer game interface.
As more Internet casinos add live dealer options, these games are becoming standard at online casino sites. Hopefully, more and more Web-based casinos will start to offer a live dealer option, since this style of play is simply more enjoyable for casino gambling fans like me that like to watch the cards as they're moved around, revealed, and shuffled.
