In this section of the website we are going to show you the correct optimal Blackjack strategy for playing Playtech’s Live Blackjack game. We have chosen this particular Blackjack variant for it is readily available at both Titan Casino and Bet365 Casino who are two of our top rated online casino sites.
It may take you a little which to get these playing moves firmly implanted in your mind, but once you have learnt each and every single playing move you will then be best placed to get the lowest house edge that this Live Blackjack game offers!
Remember you should never deviate from the following playing strategy for if you do then you will be making incorrect playing moves which without exception will increase your overall house edge and therefore reduce your winning chances!
Playing Hard Hands
17 to 20 Valued Hands – You should stand all 17 to 20 valued soft hands when playing, no matter what the Dealers card is valued at.
13 to 16 Valued Hard Hands – When you have a hard 16 then stand the hand if the dealer has a 2 or 6 valued card but hit your hand if the Dealer has any other up facing card, never take Insurance though if offered on a Dealer Ace up facing card for this has a high house edge!
12 Valued Hard Hand – You should stand a Hard 12 hand if the Dealer is showing a 4, 5 or 6 up facing card or hit your hand when you have a hard 12 hand if the Dealer is showing any other valued up facing card.
11 Valued Hard Hand – If the Dealer has any card showing except an Ace then Double that hand, if this is not an option then hit your hand instead,. Should the Dealer be showing an Ace then hit your hand instead.
10 Valued Hard Hand - You should double down if permitted or if not hit your hand when the Dealer has any card with the exception of an Ace or Ten card, if the Dealer does have an Ace or Ten then hit your hand instead.
9 Valued Soft Hand – If you have a hard 9 valued hand always double down when the dealer has a 3, 4 , 5 or 6 up facing card showing if not then hit your hand instead.
5 to 8 Valued Hard Hand – This is an easy move to remember when you have any hard 5 to 8 valued hand, always hit that hand no matter what the Dealers up facing card is showing.

Playing Soft Hands
Soft 19 and Soft 20 Hands – You will not have too many choices in regards to how you play any soft hand that is either an Ace and an 8 or an Ace and a 9, for the correct optimal strategy for playing these hands in Blackjack will call for you to stand those hands immediately!
Soft 18 Hands – If you have been dealt an Ace card and any 7 card then you should stand the hand if the Dealer is showing a 2, 7 or 8 valued up facing card, or you should hit that hand if the Dealer is showing a 9, 10 or an Ace and double down when the dealer has a 3, 4, 5 or 6 card showing.
Playing Pairs
Pair of Ace or 8’s – If you have been dealt when playing Live Blackjack a pair of Aces or any pair of 8’s then you should split those hands, for that is the best strategic move, no matter what the Dealer is showing via his or her up facing card.
Pair of Tens – You should always stand any pair of tens that you have been dealt, never split them always stand them!
Pair of Nines - If when playing Live Blackjack you end up being dealt two Nines, then you should always split them, unless of course the Dealers up facing card is a 7, 10 or Ace and in such cases then you need to split those Nines instead!
Pair of Sevens – Always split any pair of 7’s when the dealer has an up facing card that is a 2 to 7 valued card, on any other up facing card you should hit that hand instead.
Pair of Sixes – The correct optimal playing strategy when playing a Pair of Sixes is for you to split them when the Dealer is showing a 2 to 6 valued card and hit your pair when he or she has any other card showing.
Pair of Fives – You should always hit a pair of Fives when the Dealer is showing a Ten or an Ace card, if not then double down on that hand, if you cannot double down for whatever reason then you should hit your hand instead.
Pair of Fours – Always hit a pair of fours when playing Live Blackjack unless the dealer has a five or a six showing if so then make sure you split that hand instead of hitting it!
Pair of Two’s or Threes – Always hit a pair of Two’s or Three’s when the Dealers up facing card is an 8, 9, 10 or an Ace if not then split your hand instead.
Never Take Insurance
The Insurance wager should never be an option for anyone who wants to get the house edge on any Blackjack game variant as low as possible. This is often offered when the Dealer may have a winning Blackjack hand, but due to the massive house edge associated and attached with this 2 to 1 paying side bet option, you are advised never to take it.
If you take Insurance then your overall winning chances will diminish due to the game having an increased house edge, so take our advice and refuse the Insurance bet each and every time the Live Dealer offers it to you or it will end up costing your dearly!
